Luigi Ferrata

Luigi has been working in the public affairs sector since 2004 in various consulting firms, managing projects in Italy and at EU level with a focus on ICT, energy and healthcare. In addition, between 2022 and 2024 he has been the head of public affairs at Engineering Group, the Italian leader in the digital transformation, a multinational group with about 15.000 employees, where he focused on the challenges of the new technologies.

He is also a member of AREL, one of the leading think tanks in Italy and an independent forum for reinforcing dialogue among politics, businesses, academia and civil society, aiming at proposing new legislation to the political. At Arel, he contributes to the organization of events and seminars with KOL and decision makers at national and EU level.

He is also a member of the scientific committee of ASviS, the main sustainability platform in Italy, aiming at advocating the Government and the public opinion for advancing Agenda 2030 and the 17 SDGs.

He regularly contributes to the debate about lobbying and public affairs writing articles featuring the evolution of the industry focusing on different models (e.g. political intelligence, business diplomacy), as well as the impact of new technologies and ethical issues.
Fluent in English, he got an undergraduate degree in business administration at Bocconi University Milan.
