Joel Kibazo

Joel specialises in African geopolitics and media relations. He spent 12 years covering financial markets and African business news at the Financial Times, having worked extensively in broadcasting, reporting and presenting business, education and cultural programmes for BBC World Service, Radio 4 and BBC World television, as well as other broadcasters. Outside of the media, he has been Official Spokesperson and Director of Communications & Public Affairs for the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Director of External Relations at the African Development Bank, and Managing Director - Africa at FTI Consulting. He is a member of several boards including One World Media and Education Sub-Sahara Africa (ESSA).
