Andrew Clark

Andrew is a creative, energetic corporate affairs specialist with a background in journalism. He is a long-experienced senior counsellor in strategic communications, public affairs, thought leadership, media training, crisis management and reputation. Before becoming a consultant, Andrew had a highly successful career in top tier international journalism, as a business editor at The Times, The Guardian and The Observer. He joined the Westminster office of Rud Pedersen in 2024, having served until earlier that year as Corporate Affairs Director at The Go-Ahead Group, the leading international public transport operator. In his four years at Go-Ahead, he was part of the group leadership team with responsibility for communications and public affairs, supporting the CEO and driving the development of policy on bus and rail reform, skills, decarbonisation and sustainability.

Prior to joining Go-Ahead, Andrew was Head of Communications at GFG Alliance, the global steel and energy group, and was Senior Director for Issues and Public Affairs at BCW Global, now known as Burson, the international communications and public affairs consultancy. In his 15 years as a respected business journalist, Andrew was variously Transport Correspondent for The Guardian, spent six months in the newsroom at the Sydney Morning Herald, covered the global financial crisis and election of President Obama in a four-year stint as U.S. business correspondent in New York and was Business Editor of The Observer. His four-year term as Deputy Business Editor at The Times included oversight of business coverage, writing regular columns and features, public speaking and event leadership as a face of one of Britain's pre-eminent daily news titles.

Andrew graduated in Social and Political Sciences from Clare College, University of Cambridge. He was Chief Operating Officer of 'Labour in the City', the network for Labour-supporting professionals in financial services. He is a keen endurance runner, cyclist and hiker.
