Aldo Sands

Aldo leads Rud Pedersen's research, political intelligence and issues analysis practice, coordinating expert capabilities in the London office and across Europe. He joins from Macro Advisory Partners where he contributed to the growth of its global public policy, regulation and geopolitics work. Aldo has advised clients and produced deep actionable insights in multiple sectors world-wide, including finance, technology and industry. Prior to Macro Advisory Partners, he worked at Sard Verbinnen & Co (now FGS Global) and Oliver Wyman.

Aldo has experience of leading multi-sector client teams, counselling international investors, banks and manufacturers, on issues spanning AI regulation, global market trends and legislative strategy. His work has shaped client submissions to legislative consultations, select committee inquiries and policy engagements across the UK, EU and US. He has run scenario planning sessions for senior leaders, developed due diligence frameworks for emerging technologies, and designed media strategies on labour reform and AI ethics.

He holds a Master's in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and his first degree from the University of Cambridge, where he won the Smales-Charmes Prize.
