Wouter Lox

Senior Adviser, Brussels

Wouter Lox is a seasoned association leader and sustainability expert with over 30 years of experience. He currently serves as a Senior Adviser at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, supporting the Agri-Food cluster and Trade practice. During his career, he held pivotal roles, including Secretary-General of the European Fruit Juice Association (AIJN), where he initiated the industry’s first net-zero sector roadmap. Before AIJN, he was the Managing Director of EuSalt and held senior positions at NuSkin Enterprises and Yakult Europe, specialising in EU food policy, public affairs, and regulatory frameworks. His journey began in Gabon, followed by leadership roles in the Belgian Dairy Industry Association and the European Potato Starch Association.

He has extensive knowledge of EU policy and global regulatory landscapes, and has authored various practical courses on topics such as functional foods, health claims, and packaging legislation. He has contributed to the first HACCP guideline for the Belgian Dairy Association. He provides guest lectures at Copenhagen University, focusing on Public Affairs.

Wouter holds a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Ghent and a specialisation in Packaging Management from VUB-Brussels.
