Research Executive, Brussels
Robin De Hertogh joined the Brussels office of the Rud Pedersen Group in October 2024. Experienced in EU policy development, strategic communication and event management, he works passionately as a Research Executive in the Food and Agriculture cluster. With two masters’ degrees focusing on international and European law and politics, Robin is fluent in Dutch, English and French, and is learning Spanish.
Robin has gained valuable public affairs and advocacy experience working for European organisations and government bodies in Brussels and abroad. For example, Robin undertook an internship at the Belgian Consulate General in Hong Kong, where he was working on public diplomacy and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, during his internship with the Flemish Government, he also supported the Belgian delegation in the Special Committee on Agriculture and the AGRI/FISH Council on key issues such as sustainable carbon cycles, exceptional adjustment support for agricultural producers, and better alignment between the Green Deal, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and trade policies. Furthermore, he contributed to the preparations for Belgium's EU presidency.
When it comes to private sphere, Robin was a junior policy officer at the European Council of the Liberal Professions (CEPLIS) and the European Nursing Council (ENC), where he advocated on behalf of the liberal professions and helped the secretariat write research reports and organise events.
