Goran Gotev

Goran is a Senior Adviser at Rud Pedersen. He is an experienced public affairs expert with a long-standing career in EU digital and cybersecurity policy.
Goran's public sector background includes a 7-year experience as an advisor on home affairs and digital policy to high-profile Members of the European Parliament (2007-2014). In 2014, he transited to the private sector, first as a public affairs consultant (2014-2018), then as an in-house government affairs expert for cybersecurity firms Symantec (2018-2019) and as Head of EMEA Government Affairs for BlackBerry (2020-2022) and Okta (2022-2024).
Goran also served as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Bulgaria Ivailo Kalfin (2016), as well as with the EMEA team of leading software enterprise association BSA | The Software Alliance.
Goran holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Lille University (France) and, besides his native Bulgarian, is fluent in English and French, and operates in Spanish and Italian.
