Rud Pedersen Public Affairs is looking for a Public Affairs Senior Consultant with at least five years of relevant experience in the fields of food and/or healthcare to join our growing Brussels public affairs offering.

Our Brussels office opened in 2017, and we are now looking to strengthen our team with a colleague focused on working within the food and healthcare sectors, with the opportunity to work with other business areas depending on evolving client needs.

We offer the opportunity to work and grow in a fast-paced but energetic consultancy environment. Anyone joining will have the opportunity to develop within the Rud Pedersen team, working with our Brussels partners and the wider company.

Rud Pedersen has seven offices across six countries, and around 180 consultants with their own experience from politics and/or public administration. The Rud Pedersen Group is a growing public affairs and communications company that includes Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, Welcom, RP People and King Street PR.

The Position:

The consultant will work together with colleagues in Brussels as well as the teams in national markets.

In particular, the role entails:

  • Liaising directly with our food and healthcare client base;

  • Managing the day-to-day implementation of client programmes, ranging from monitoring and intelligence to outreach to the EU institutions and relevant stakeholders;

  • Supporting the growth of our Brussels team through thought-leadership and our presence in relevant Brussels fora;

  • Managing and coaching team members in all aspects of public affairs and communications.

  • The position is based in Brussels and may require some travel to other European cities, depending on client needs.

Your Profile:

Our ideal candidate for this position will have the following profile:

  • 5 years’ experience of working on EU public policy in the fields of food, healthcare and/or consumer policy;

  • A track record of working with or in the EU institutions or national government;

  • Experience in public affairs and communications consultancy or a demonstrable experience in servicing internal clients;

  • The ability to explain the link between public policy, political developments and the impact on the business of our clients;

  • An enthusiasm for conducting public affairs and communications in all its forms, from direct outreach to social media engagement;

  • Strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail;

  • An entrepreneurial spirit that seeks to constantly improve our offering to clients;

  • A desire to be part of building a leading public affairs consultancy in a competitive Brussels market;

  • Full professional proficiency in English, with working knowledge of French or another EU official language.

As well as offering a competitive starting package, this opportunity allows the successful applicant to participate in our personal incentive scheme that seeks to share the rewards of our growth with all team members.

Please send your application in the form of a CV (no Europass) and a cover letter to no later than close of business Friday 17 May, 2019.
