Rud Pedersen Public Affairs expansion continues as Andrew Johnson joins Brussels office
Rud Pedersen has added European public affairs veteran Andrew Johnson to its Brussels office as a partner. He joins Morten Rud Pedersen, Martin Bresson and James Stevens in the leadership of the company’s rapidly expanding office in Brussels.
Andrew has over twenty five years of experience in supporting corporate and trade association clients in their legal, public affairs and communications activities in Brussels and across Europe. A lawyer by training, his career has seen him hold senior positions at Weber Shandwick, Apco, Havas and most recently RPP in Brussels.
Andrew said “I’m delighted to join a growing company that has a laser-like focus on public affairs and impressive growth plans. With a new Parliament and Commission later this year, 2019 provides us with a great opportunity to shape the agenda of the EU for our diverse client base.”
Brussels Managing Partner Martin Bresson said “With experience in everything from hardcore advocacy to media relations, Andrew is exactly the kind of trusted senior counsellor that our clients look for. His background working with FMCG, food and retail sectors adds another string to our bow.”
Andrew is the latest senior hire for Rud Pedersen as it continues to transform itself from the leading public affairs company in the Nordics into a truly European public affairs player. In 2018, James Stevens joined its ranks in Brussels after fifteen years helping to build FleishmanHillard’s presence in the market, while the company established its presence in the Estonian market by hiring the former head of cabinet of two prime ministers, Kairi Uutsulnd.
CEO and President of Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, Morten Rud Pedersen said “As we continue our development as a company, our enthusiasm for hiring senior talent in existing markets and expanding into new ones remains undiminished.”
Rud Pedersen Public Affairs is a leading European public affairs and communications company with over 180 consultants in Brussels, Copenhagen, Gothenberg, Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm and Tallinn. It is part of the Rud Pedersen Group, which includes the PR brand King Street, creative agency Welcom and recruitment consultancy RP People.
