Additionally, he gained journalistic experience working for German outlets Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Wirtschaftswoche. Sumin holds two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from the London School of Economics and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.

How long have you been with the company?
Since April 1, 2021

What does your role focus on/include?
I have the privilege to head the German energy and climate team, therefore I work extensively on these topics and within this regulatory area.

What is your favourite aspect of working at Rud Pedersen Group?
Working at a consulting firm that has a genuine political DNA and focus.

Who are some of your major influences at work? (Shout-outs to people you work with that put a smile on your face or motivate you to be your best self!)
My great team, most notably Jennifer Marti, Fiona Seiler and Jonas Rautenberg, who challenge me and from whom I learn every day – while partly also resulting in heated energy policy discussions.

What is your favourite productivity hack?
Two simple things: 1: clean desk – otherwise I go crazy; 2: Have a to do list and cross out completed tasks with verve.

Any advice to colleagues considering starting their career at RPG?
For RPG but also anywhere else: Keep hobbies and non-work-related interest alive, despite the workload we all have. We are all in a people’s profession for a reason. If you have nothing to say beyond the current project, you will bore clients, colleagues and most importantly, yourself.

What is one thing you cannot live without?
Airpods. How can merely omitting the cables change it all?

What is the book/podcast you recommend the most?
As I mostly read and listen to energy-related things, I’ll rather go for a tv show: HBO’s “Succession” – way more fun
