What is your favourite aspect of working at Rud Pedersen Group?
No matter how you are looking at it, it’s exciting to be part of a company transitioning from being Nordic to becoming a leading European consultancy. Furthermore, I find daily inspiration in the amazing people constituting the progression.
Who are some of your major influences at work? (Shout-outs to people you work with that put a smile on your face or motivate you to be your best self!)
My team! It’s my responsibility to make sure they perform individually and as a team, and that we have fun as we work. Furthermore, it is a privilege to work with people who have spent their entire careers outside RPG and are now happy to share the experience with their colleagues. You know who you are, people!
What is your favourite productivity hack?
Blocking slots in the calendar for focus, music and noise-cancelling headphones
Any advice to colleagues starting out their career at RPG?
Fail fast and learn from it. Make an effort and earn the trust. And constantly communicate and calibrate expectations, roles, and responsibilities with your colleagues.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Oxygen, water, and food. And people’s ability to bear with my dad humour.
Where is your favourite destination you’ve visited, and why?
Norway. Norway is underrated. It has some of the most breathtaking nature on the globe, and it’s literally in our backyard.
What is the book/podcast you recommend the most?
Tolstoy, War and Peace, and right now I am listening to the Economist’s podcast, the Prince, about Xi Jinping.
What is your favourite quote? Or life advice you’ve received?
There are many. ‘Aujourd’hui, maman est morte. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas.’ – from the Stranger by Camus. ’Do or do not, there is no try’ – Yoda. ’The one striving for perfection will never be satisfied’ – from Anna Karenina by Tolstoy.
If you could have dinner with one historical figure, living or dead, who would you choose? And what would be the one question you would ask them?
The Tank Man from Tianamen Square and I would ask him 'how did you find the courage?'
