Alex Reeves

Account Director, UK

Alex has a decade of experience across public affairs, corporate communications and political campaigns, with an excellent network across the political spectrum in the UK.

Before joining Rud Pedersen in November 2024, Alex was Head of Public Affairs at the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC), the trade body for the regulated betting and gaming industry in the UK, whose members include globally successful British businesses such as bet365, Flutter Entertainment, Entain and Evoke. During his three and a half years there, he led the public affairs team through significant regulatory change during the Review of the Gambling Act. He also navigated BGC members through multiple changes in government and successive ministers.

Prior to the BGC, Alex worked for a global strategic communications firm, Sard Verbinnen (SVC), now part of FGS Global, and before its acquisition by SVC, Oakhill Communications. For over three and a half years, he provided public affairs and communications counsel to clients across multiple sectors, including financial services, gaming, housing, technology and education.

Alex also spent three years at the Industry and Parliament Trust, an educational charity for Parliament and business, where he managed their Fellowship Programme. This programme provides MPs and Peers from across the political divide with a unique insight into business and industry. Alex liaised directly on behalf of parliamentarians with FTSE 100 companies and SMEs across various sectors, including health, energy, aerospace, and manufacturing.

An active member of the Conservative Party, Alex began his career at Conservative Campaign HQ (CCHQ), reporting to the Party Chairman’s office, where his role focused on the 40/40 seats in the successful 2015 General Election Campaign. He has also worked for a Conservative MP.

Alex holds a Masters in Global Politics and Law from the University of Sheffield.
