Specialising in energy regulation and climate policies, Sumin provides expert guidance to clients navigating Germany's evolving energy landscape.
As Director and Head of Energy at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Germany, Sumin leads the firm's energy sector initiatives, advising national and international clients—including utilities, trading and investment firms, and industrial corporations—on energy and climate policies. His recent projects include: analysing the impact of the European Green Deal and respective national implementation on the German power and gas markets, developing political risk assessments and advocacy strategies for renewable energy adoption, and advising clients on compliance with domestic energy regulation.
Before joining Rud Pedersen, Sumin served as Senior Consultant and Co-Lead of the European Energy and Sustainability Practice at APCO Worldwide in Frankfurt, where he advised clients on energy transition policies and sustainability initiatives. He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Sumin is fluent in German and English.
