Neil McMillan CMG

Neil McMillan brings to Rud Pedersen Public Affairs over 40 years of political and regulatory experience in advocacy and legislative negotiation. He has deep knowledge of the agrifood supply chain, with many years representing the European retail and wholesale industry in Brussels on a wide range of complex regulatory issues.

He also has wide advisory experience as a Partner in an international public and government affairs consultancy. He is expert in the workings of government and the EU, both as Director in the UK Prime Minister's European and Global Affairs secretariat, and heading the UK trade and industry ministry's department for European policy. He gained extensive knowledge of international trade, having been UK permanent representative to the WTO, also chairing successful WTO negotiations liberalising global telecoms services.

Neil speaks fluent German, Danish and French.
